Nothing special here, just a drawing of Great White looking for a photo op under the pier. I've tinkered with her hairstyle a bit - not completely satisfied with it, but I mainly wanted it to look different from Tiger's hairdo.
I'm trying to motivate myself to draw full backgrounds in more of my pictures. I think the perspective is a little inconsistent on this one, and I'm not totally satisfied with the finer details of the lighting, but otherwise I think it turns out okay.
This is the first finished picture I've made in Paint Tool Sai. So far I'm liking the level of precision that you get when using a tablet with the program, not to mention the level of customization when it comes to pressure and density on brushes. The fact that it's not as CPU-intensive as Photoshop or Gimp is also plus, though Sai seems to crash way more often.
Hah good to see more of her I like her pose and that lighting too! Backgrounds are a big challenge for me too. It looks a little flat but it takes time to get perspective down, I have some trouble with it as well. Sai is really nice with a tablet, I like Photoshop's brushes but I like the sensitivity in Sai best.
